Permit from Pagsanjan, Laguna is this year’s Bandemonium II: Screen to Stage champion, besting six other bands in the second installment of the UP Jammers’ Club‘s battle of the bands held on October 5, 2016 at Nesting Ground, LB Square in Los Baños, Laguna. Los Baños-based hard-rock group Skygrid came in second, and UPLB-based pop-rock band Lottie placed third.

Vocalist and guitarist Earl Andrade of blupoint was awarded Best Vocalist and Best Guitarist. Ronie Bonifacio of Permit was given the Best Bassist award, and Lottie’s Daryl Payuan was hailed Best Drummer.

Other participating bands include blupoint, Monaxials, The Neverheards, Nietta, and Skygrid.

This year’s theme is original soundtracks from film or television. Each band did a cover of a soundtrack of their choice and an original composition. UP Jammers’ Club alumni Cams Anareta, Gerald Capistrano, Karl Castillo, and yours truly comprised the board of judges for the event.

Stage Flight, Nina Virgin, and All Sudden Smiles also graced the stage that night.
